McDaniel said that Terron Armstead will take part in some practice drills today to see how he is doing. Still no word of his status for the upcoming game against the New England Patriots on Sunday night. It is a step in the direction.

Update: Armstead is out on the practice field but he is wearing a red non-contact jersey as well as a compression sleeve on his right leg per media reports.

Other Dolphins Chatter from the Press Conference

Elijah Campbell (DB) was taking part in individual drills today. Campbell sustained a leg injury during the preseason game. Just like Armstead, Campbell’s game status is uncertain.

When asked why David Long (LB) did was not on the field that often, McDaniel stated, “The formula for that game.” Andrew Van Ginkel got the majority of the snaps.

On why Devon Achane was not active,

“When you have areas of your team that necessitate certain things. You have to go light on positions. That’s why Devon was inactive.” McDaniel does not expect that Achane will usually be inactive. It is just how out it played out this week.

This news will not shock anyone if they saw last week’s NFL slate of games, QB Tua Tagovailoa has been named AFC Player of the Week. A quick glance at his stats in the below image will show why. It was well deserved. Of course WR Tyreek Hill would have been a great choice as well.
