Dolphins Get Served Humble Pie

The Miami Dolphins entered the game flying high with a 3 and 0 record. They were also coming off a win in which they put up 70 points. Today, the Buffalo Bills served Miami a cold slice of humble pie. No time for them to hold their heads low, the Dolphins need a bounce back performance in week 5 against the New York Giants.

Humble Pie, But still Fins Up

The Bills played better on defense and offense which is never good recipe for the Dolphins. The offense started hot as they matched two early touchdowns from the Bills. But, Buffalo found a way to stop Miami. The Dolphins never find the cure for the Bills offense.

The Bills won the game 48 to 20, I do not feel the Bills are four touchdowns better than Miami. But, today they were. The offensive line took a step back from their performance over the first three weeks. OT Terron Armstead also left the game with injury towards the end of the first half.

No Excuses, Must Move Forward

The past two seasons the Dolphins have had losing streaks of 7 (2021) and 5 games (2022). Miami can’t let this loss linger which could cost us a much needed bounce back victory. Miami will be at home over the next two weeks. They need to win both of those games to get back on track.

I prefer eating humble pie now, I hope the players feel the same way. Just like a victory needs to be put in the rearview mirror, so must a loss.

I could write about all the flaws this game exposed, but there is no need because you saw it for yourselves.

I will try my best to end this post on a positive vibe! It looks like the Dolphins hit a homerun with the selection RB De’von Achane in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was a bright spot out there with 2 more touchdowns. He also had 101 yards.
