Dolphins Notes 11/08/2023

The Miami Dolphins are entering their bye week with a 6 and 3 record. That record is good enough for first place in the AFC East, but Miami is coming off a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Dolphins can use the off week to get some players rest.

6 and 3

Yes, it has been disappointing that Miami has not beaten a team with a winning record. But, overall the season is going well since the Dolphins are in control of their own destiny in terms of winning the AFC East.

At some point, Miami needs to beat a team with a winning record if they want to erase that narrative about not being able to beat “good” teams. Plus, there will be no advancing in the playoffs if they do not beat teams with winning records.

Enjoy the bye week knowing that your favorite team sits atop the AFC East.

Dolphins Notes

WR River Cracraft needs to activated by 11/14/2023 (Tuesday) or he will be out for the season. The team appears set to make a spot for him, so another move will be needed to open up that spot.

RB De’von Achane also seems getting close to be ready to play. The 21 day window for Achane has not yet opened. But, by all accounts it seems like he will be activated sooner than later. Another move would be needed to make room for him.

OL Robert Jones will miss some time it seems after sustaining a knee injury against the Chiefs. HC Mike McDaniel described Jones’ status as week to week.

DB Brandon Jones is still in concussion protocol. Jones was injured near the end of the Patriots game at Hard Rock Stadium. He took part in Tuesday’s walk-through practice, but reports had him wearing the red non-contact jersey.

WR Tryouts/Auditions

The Miami Dolphins had 3 receivers get auditions yesterday. Most likely as practice squad candidates.
