Miami Dolphins, thirsty, training camp notes, fins

Fins Notes July 24, 2023

Training camp for all of the Miami Dolphins starts tomorrow (07/25/2023). There are a few notes on the Fins as they start preparations for the 2023 NFL season.

Miami Dolphins Notes on Camp Eve

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported that agent Drew Rosenhaus said that both Zack Sieler and Connor Williams will report to camp on time. Rosenhaus represents both players. Sieler and Williams want long-term contracts. Williams held out of minicamp and OTAs. Sieler was at minicamp but did miss some OTAs.

Random Fins Thoughts

At this point, I’m fine with any direction the team decides to take on the Dalvin Cook front. With or without Cook, the Dolphins have a strong running back room. There is no reason to break the bank for him. There have been reports that Cook might face league suspension due to a prior incident from 2021. No criminal charges were ever filed against him, but a woman did state in a deposition that Cook physically abused her.

Bigger Needs for Dolphins

I feel that Miami needs depth along the interior defensive line before adding a running back. We are solid with our starters, but a lot of unknowns behind them. There will be more in-depth position battles blogs on this site as the camp starts to take place.

Even more offensive line help could benefit the Dolphins. We all know how the line ran into injuries last year so depth is a good thing. We added some but you can never have enough offensive line help. I feel like Isiah Wynn, who Miami signed in the 2nd wave of free agency, could earn a starting spot on the line.

Join the fun on Dolphins Thirsty’s YouTube. A lot of live shows where we drop links for Dolfans to join the talk! We will be on tonight at 7:30 PM (EST). Be there for Fins Up fun!
