Fins Up Dolfans

Fins Up Dolfans

The Miami Dolphins continue to get wins in 2022.  Miami sits atop the AFC East standing as they entered their bye week. Yes, even the Bills must look up to find the Dolphins. The division rivals have already had their bye weeks. So, after this week’s conclusion of games, everyone will have completed 10 games. Dolfans can sit back this weekend and have their Fins up!

Fins Up to All Dolfans!

Yes, there is a lot of football to be played before this season can be stamped as a success. But, the feeling around this 2022 Dolphins team is different. In recent times, long-time Dolfans like myself are always waiting for the “other shoe to drop.” Yet, I can’t help but feel this team is heading to big things. So that is worth a Fins Up to fellow Dolfans for now. Miami has got some impressive wins to get a division best record of 7 and 3.

I never count wins before their time. But, Miami comes out of their bye to face a Houston Texans team that the Fins should be able to beat up. Of course, Dolfans will have to wait and see if it unfolds that way. There is that old famous NFL saying Any Given Sunday for a reason, there are no easy wins in the NFL. But, a win against them should happen if both play teams play as they have so far this season. The game against the Texans actually has the feel of a “must-win” game. The schedule gets brutal moving forward. Dolfans can still expect some Fins Up moments after the Texans matchup, but wow it gets tough.

Tough Road Ahead

After the Texans game at Hard Rock Stadium, the Fins hit the road for a tough three-game stretch away from friendly South Florida. Local Dolfans will have to root for the Fins from afar as Miami tries to stay up in the tough AFC East.

It is tough to win games on the road in the NFL, it gets even tougher when the teams you face are all playoff-caliber clubs. All three teams the Fins face on the three-game road trip will be battling for playoff positioning as well.

The San Francisco 49ers will be the first of two straight west coast games. After the 49ers game, the Fins plan to stay out west since they take on the Chargers in Los Angeles the following week. Following the west coast swing, the Dolphins will head home for some home food cooking and practice before heading up north to play the Bills. Dolfans will be on the edge of their seats/couches for this 3 game gauntlet. Hopefully, with at least a couple of Fins Up victory moments!
