Miami Dolphins, thirsty, lackluster

Lackluster Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins opened their exhibition season tonight. But, most of the frontline players were watching from the sideline. Losing 19 to 3 to the Atlanta Falcons. The Dolphins had 3 decent drives with Mike White but they all ended poorly in the red zone. White threw an interception and two failed fourth and goals.

Lackluster Fins

An ugly game overall from the Miami Dolphins. But, there were some bright spots. Devon Achane and Erik Ezukanma showed that they have the ability to contribute to the team in 2023. Myles Gaskin had some nice runs when he was on the field early in the game.

Achane had a nice kickoff return to open the action. He also showed the skills that made him attractive to the Dolphins in the NFL Draft. He showed rushing and receiving skills.

Ezukanma also showed his ability to catch and run the ball. Jason Sanders also made his lone FG attempt. Elijah Higgins had a nice reception but he was also called for a couple of penalties. The holding call was suspect at best but it did wipe out a nice run Skylar Thompson.

Improvement Needed

The offensive line did not play well as a unit. Again, the main guys sat this one out. It is only the pre-season but Miami needs to step up their play when they practice and play against the Houston Texans next week.
