Miami Dolphins Chris Brooks News

The Miami Dolphins had only have 2 of their 8 allowed moves remaining in terms of bringing players back from an injury list. It seems like they now only have one move left. HC Mike McDaniel stated the 21-day window for RB Chris Brooks has been opened.

Chris Brooks and Other Miami Dolphins News

Brooks is a rookie running back who was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent at the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 6 games this season for Miami. He became injured in the Carolina Panthers game. The rookie had 15 carries for 94 yards this season. Brooks is a solid blocker as well as a good special teams contributor.

De’von Achane

Another rookie running back, De’Von Achane, status for Sunday remains unknown. Local media reports stated that Achane was practicing today. McDaniel did not say if Achane would or would not play against the Washington Commanders.

Jaelan Phillips Undergoes Surgery

The loss of Jaelan Phillips will be felt, but the good news is that Phillips “Tweeted” out that the Achilles surgery went well. He is expected to return in the 2024 season.  McDaniel advised during his press conference that the procedure that Phillips underwent is more of the traditional procedure as opposed to that of what Aaron Rodgers had performed on him.

Terron Armstead

OT Terron Armstead exited the Black Friday game against the New York Jets with a quad injury. His status for Sunday remains in doubt according to McDaniel. Armstead had posted on social media that he had played sloppy against the Jets and needed to play better this weekend.

Armstead’s primary backup, Kendall Lamm, is also dealing with an injury (back). The coach sounded more positive on Lamm being able to play this Sunday. It would appear that Kion Smith would be the next man up to start at left tackle this week if Armstead and Lamm can’t play.
