Miami Dolphins News 09/16/2023

Some Miami Dolphins news as they prepare to take on the New England Patriots tomorrow night. It will be Miami’s second straight road game to start the 2023 NFL Season.

News and Notes of the Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have signed (DT) Da’Shawn Hand to the active roster. Hand had been on the practice squad. (S) Verone McKinley III has been released.

Miami also has moved (LB) Cameron Goode and (DE) Chase Winovich from the practice squad to the active roster for this week’s game. Miami did the same thing with Goode last week. They will have two more elevations of Goode allowed by NFL rules.

Recently acquired CB Kelvin Joseph will not travel with the team for personal/family reasons.

Jaelan Phillips Status?

Local media outlets are advising that during the portion of practice that was open to the media, it looked like (LB) Jaelan Phillips sustained a neck injury. His status for this week’s game is not questionable.

Left Tackle Starter?

(OT) Terron Armstead advised that he had a good week of practice. But, his status for Sunday night is still questionable. If he is unable to go, (OT) Kendall Lamm will start for the second straight week. Lamm played well in Week 1 filling in for Armstead.
