Miami Dolphins News and Notes: September 22, 2023

WR Jaylen Waddle is still in concussion protocol per McDaniel. Waddle did take part in some practice drills today but he was in the red no-contact jersey. The Dolphins have until Sunday morning to clear Waddle from the protocol. The WR is listed as questionable.

OT Terron Armstead playing this week seems more likely by the day. McDaniel advised that he is pretty optimistic about Armstead being able to play.

RB Salvon Ahmed is listed as doubtful for the game against the Denver Broncos, Ahmed is dealing with a groin injury he sustained against the New England Patriots. It appears that RB De’von might get the more opportunities this week. The rookie RB was inactive in the first week, but did see some touches in Week 2.

Another rookie RB Chris Brooks may get his first chance to get his hands on the ball this week.

Practice Squad Moves:

Miami signed OT Ryan Hayes to the practice squad after he was released from the Indianapolis Colts. To make room on the practice squad, the Dolphins released OT James Tunstall. Hayes was drafted in the 7th round this year by Miami, but he was released and signed by the Colts. He is now back in the fold.
