Miami Dolphins News 09/27/2023

It is midweek, Week 4 of the NFL starts tomorrow night. The Miami Dolphins are coming off their huge 70 point outburst against the Denver Broncos. They are preparing to travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills, the Bills have been the boss the AFC East ever since Tom Brady left. Now, is the time for Miami to step and show they belong at the top.

HC Mike McDaniel spoke with the media today via a press conference (See below).

LB Jaelan Phillips and C Connor Williams are not going to participate in today’s practice. Both of their statuses are unknown for the Bills game. WR Jaylen Waddle will have a full practice, if he shows no signs of a concussion he will be taking out of the protocol.

If Phillips cannot play, it appears that LB Andrew Van Ginkel will once again get more playing time on the edge. OL Liam Eichenberg is likely to be the starting center this week if Willian can’t play. Eichenberg filled in during the Broncos game once Williams left.

 

Fins Notes

 

RB Salvon Ahmed status is still unknown as he is dealing with a groin injury sustained in the Sunday night game against the New England Patriots. The coach said Ahmed is progressing nicely.

McDaniel on facing the Bills, it is a very difficult challenge but says our players are comfortable with it. He mentioned that the Bills have earned the top spot in the AFC East for a few seasons.

 

Delivering the Honors

 

The Miami Dolphins have swept the air and ground players of the week honors from FedEx for Week 3. QB Tua Tagovailoa is the FedEx Air player of the week while De’Von Achane runs away with the FedEx ground one.
