Miami Dolphins News 10/09/2023

The Miami Dolphins are fresh off their 31 to 16 victory over the New York Giants. The Carolina Panthers visit Hard Rock Stadium in week 6. Miami will try to make it two wins in a row. The Dolphins sit atop the AFC East after the Buffalo Bills lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars overseas. Mike McDaniel spoke with the local media today, you can see the full press conference below.

The Dolphins News of Today

RB De’von Achane had another great performance this week. He sustained some sort of knee injury during the Giants game, but McDaniel did not specify any further. When McDaniel was asked if Achane will undergo a MRI, he said there various things that he is undergoing. No further information was disclosed.

OL Robert Jones and DB Nik Needham are still in their 21 day window to be able to return to the active roster. McDaniel said they will “push the envelope” when the team returns to practice on Wednesday to see where Jones and Needham stand in their recovery process.

LG Isaiah Wynn left the game for one play during the Giants game but played the rest of the way. McDaniel said that Wynn should be fine.

Big Favorites Again

For the second week in a row, the pros that set the betting lines have the Dolphins as double digit favorites. The line right now has Miami as a 14 point favorite. I’m not a game bettor myself but it is nice to see that the Dolphins are getting some respect from the pros that do this stuff.
