Notes on Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are coming off their bye week. So, there has not been much news coming out of Miami Gardens. But there are some random notes for Dolfans.

Random Notes on the Fins

Dolphins Thirsty hopes that all of you had a great Thanksgiving. I’m sure you were rooting for the Detroit Lions to beat the Buffalo Bills. It did not work out even though the Lions did give us a tease for a little bit. It was nice to see the New England Patriots fall to the Minnesota Vikings in the night game. The Vikings have now beaten the Dolphins, Bills, and Patriots of the AFC East. Now, it is time for some notes on the Fins.

Earlier today, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel had his normal Friday press conference. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald asked the coach about the status of running back Raheem Mostert. The coach said that Mostert’s status for Sunday’s game is in question due to a knee injury. The coach notes that if Mostert does not play Sunday he will be close to being ready.

McDaniel stated about Mostert’s knee, “It’s something he’s working through.”  So, if Mostert can’t go, it seems that Jeff Wilson will be in line to get the start at running back for the Dolphins this week.

There were other injury notes discussed during the Friday press conference. The coach expects both (OT) Terron Armstead (Toe) and (P) Thomas Morstead (Illness) to be ready to go on Sunday. He noted that he likes the chances of (LB) Jerome Baker being ready to play as well. Baker has been dealing with a hip injury.

Armstead, Baker, and Morstead were in uniform for Friday’s practice according to Jackson.

After the Houston Game

Miami better take advantage of being at home this week by winning the game. Because the road gets much tougher over the next few weeks. By the road, I really mean the road. After, the Houston game at Hard Rock Stadium the Dolphins have three tough games on the road. In my schedule release notes, these next three games were highlighted.

Miami must travel to take on the San Francisco 49ers, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Buffalo Bills after facing Houston. We will have a much better understanding of Miami’s playoff status after that brutal stretch of games away from home.

Need a fun quick break? If so, take a Dolphins Quiz!
