Packers Next

The Green Bay Packers are up next. We will take a quick look back at the Miami Dolphins loss to the Buffalo Bills last night. But, Miami needs to shake off that loss if they want to snap this losing streak.

Packers are Next but a Quick Look Back

Miami gave Buffalo all they could handle last. But, this is the NFL so there are no moral victories. A loss is a loss. Yet, the Dolphins gave fans reason to believe that the Fins are capable of hanging with and possibly beating top teams in a hostile environment. As a long-time Dolfan, this one stings.

Overall, Miami played a solid game but fell short as Buffalo kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired. Miami was able to establish a strong running game. Yet, on a few 3rd and short-yardage situations Miami chose to throw the ball. I like Mike McDaniel, I think he is a good head coach. But, we will have to live with some bumps in the road as he establishes himself with the tough job.

Aside from some of the throw and third and short, I also question his choice to go for two early in the game. Yes, a conversion would have tied the game at 21 but it felt like we were chasing points too soon. Overall though, McDaniel put the Dolphins in a position to win the game. The defense needed to make a few more stops. Some receivers could have caught some passes to help out Tua Tagovailoa. So, I will let go and remind myself the Packers are next.

No “Easy Pickings”

The Packers who the Dolphins face next week on Christmas Day will also be fighting for their playoff lives. Any time you face a hall-of-fame caliber quarterback such as Aaron Rodgers, it is not an easy game. Miami must play to the final whistle to come out ahead. Hopefully, the return home will help Miami beat the Packers.

There are two divisional rivals up next after the Green Bay game. Miami will have to travel to New England to take on the Patriots before taking on the New York Jets at home to close out the 2022 regular season. Will Miami extend its season into the postseason?
