Miami settled for a Jason Sanders field goal on their next drive which made the score 10 to 0. The defense then got into the scoring act when Andrew Van Ginkel intercepted a Sam Howell pass and took it 33 yards for a touchdown. Miami led 17 to 0 at that point.

Washington regrouped after the pick 6 by Van Ginkel as they mustered up a touchdown drive on their next possession. However, Miami quickly answered back with another long Tagovailoa to Tyreek Hill connection. This time it was a 60 yard scoring strike to put Miami up 24 to 7. Miami never looked back at this point.

De’Von Achane added two touchdowns and Raheem Mostert got his 14th rushing touchdown of the season. The Dolphins played a clean games in not turning over the ball.
