Miami Beats Houston
Miami beats Houston in a tale of two halves. The Miami Dolphins looked like world beaters in the first half as they dominated on offense and defense. This domination led to a 30 to 0 Fins lead at the half.
Miami Beats Down Houston in the First Half
In the first half, the Miami Dolphins showed why they have a winning record. The Houston Texans showed why they have only one win this year. Miami scored touchdowns through the air, the ground, and via their defense. Even special teams got into scoring the act with Jason Sanders being perfect on his field goal attempts.
Durham Smythe, Jeff Wilson, and Xavien Howard all scored touchdowns as Miami beats Houston at Hard Rock Stadium. As mentioned Sanders hit all three of his field goals. Tua Tagovailoa threw the TD pass to Smythe.
Concerns
The biggest concern coming out of this game is the injury status of Terron Armstead. Once Armstead went out of the game, Houston started to get to the quarterback. In Mike McDaniel’s (Head Coach) post-game press conference, McDaniel stated that the team will have a better understanding of Armstead’s status tomorrow.
Another concern was Miami’s inability to establish a consistent running game to put this game on ice. Yes, some playcalling hindered the Dolphins’ effort to run down the clock.
Houston never quit in this game. However, Miami seemed in control the whole time as they held to beat Houston 30 to 15. Miami’s defense was able to generate enough pressure that the Texans never got moving until the game was out of hand.
The road for the Dolphins gets tough now. Due to the tiebreaker, Miami is in 1st place in the AFC East. Hopefully, we get good news on Armstead as Miami prepares to take on the tough San Francisco 49ers. For now, enjoy this Dolphins victory. As always, Fins Up!
