Eric Fisher and Fins Notes
A day after losing to the San Francisco 49ers, the Miami Dolphins have added veteran offensive tackle Eric Fisher to the roster.
Eric Fisher Info
Miami signed Eric Fisher as the placed offensive tackle Austin Jackon on injured reserve (IR). Austin is out for a minimum of four games by being placed on IR. Miami has four regular season games remaining.
Pro Football Reference shows that Fisher has started 113 of 117 career games. Most of those games were with the Kanas City Chiefs. Eric last played for the Indianapolis Colts in 2021. That was his only season with the Colts. The Chiefs made Fisher the first overall draft pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. Fisher was not on a roster this year. So, it might take some time to get him football ready. But, it is solid depth move for the Dolphins.
Other Fins Notes
The Dolphins will stay out west as they get set to play the Los Angeles Chargers in primetime action on Sunday Night Football. This week’s game has a feel of a must-win for both teams.
The Dolphins’ game against the Buffalo Bills has now been moved to Saturday, December 17, 2022. This makes the Bills game even tougher as Miami will get back to South Florida in the wee hours of Monday morning after facing the Chargers. It will not leave much time for preparation for perhaps the biggest game remaining on Miami’s schedule. Miami now has to fly out of South Florida on the Friday before the Buffalo game.
