Dolphins lose

Dolphins Lose to Vikings

The Miami Dolphins lose an ugly game to the Minnesota Vikings at Hard Rock Stadium. They also lose another quarterback.

Miami has played 6 games now. In 4 of those games, the starting quarterback (QB) has had to exit that game at some point due to injury. In this game, it was QB Skylar Thompson that became injured (Thumb). So, that led to Teddy Bridgewater to entering the game. The Dolphins started this game without their top offensive lineman. Because left tackle Terron Armstead was listed as inactive prior to kickoff. Austin Jackson was out again as well. Hopefully, both Armstead and Jackson will return to action in the near future.

Dolphins Lose the Turnover Battle

The Dolphins lost the ball 3 times on offense. A Jaylen Waddle fumble in the 4th quarter on what was appearing to be a possible game-tying touchdown (TD) drive was costly. The Vikings would quickly turn that mistake into a touchdown of their own. Yes, Delvin Cook made the Dolphins pay when he scampered off on a 53-yard TD run.

The offense was able to move the ball throughout the game. But, turnovers and penalties proved to be too costly to overcome. If you look at the stats, you will see some offensive players had impressive numbers. Both Tyreek Hill and Waddle had over 100 yards in receiving. Mike Geisicki had 2 receiving touchdowns. Bridgewater had over 300 passing yards. But, all those big numbers did not lead to enough points to overcome the mistakes. Penalties, sacks, and turnovers while on offense made the Dolphins lose this game.

The Dolphins Lose Third Game in a Row, but…

Yes, the headlines will read that the Dolphins lose three games in a row. However, there is hope on the way. It looks like Tua Tagovailoa will make his return for the next game. As mentioned, it looks like two of the starting offensive lineman might be back for the Pittsburgh Steelers game.

Overall, the defense put in a solid game. So, that was an improvement. It is critical that Miami starts playing better football on both sides of the ball. Or the 3 and 0 start to the season will just be a footnote to another disappointing season.
