Dolphins thoughts and notes thirsty

Dolphins Notes and Thoughts

The Miami Dolphins will play in cold weather this Saturday night against the Buffalo Bills. Even with the short week, I have some notes and thoughts on the Dolphins.

Notes & Thoughts on the Dolphins

Miami added two players to their practice squad week. The two players are (WR) DaeSean Hamilton and (CB) Ka’dar Hollman.

  1. Hamilton has nine starts in his forty-six appearances in the NFL. He played at Penn State in college prior to being drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2018 in the 4th round. He has 5 career touchdowns. Hamilton has 81 career receptions for 833 yards. The WR also plays on special teams. He missed all of last year due to an injury.
  2. Hollman has started 1 career game while playing in 18 games. In his limited action, he has 8 tackles to go with 3 passes defended. Like Hamilton, Hollman can play special teams. He played college ball at Toledo prior to being selected in the 6th round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.

Tua Tagovailoa along with the rest of the offense will need to step things up this week. Hopefully, the Dolphins have taken notes and realize they need to run the ball if they have any real thoughts of winning this game. Miami needs a balanced attack to keep the pressure off Tua. If Miami does not at the very least attempt to run the ball, it could be a long day for Tua as he tries to dodge the Bills’ aggressive pass rush.

Injuries

According to Coach McDaniel, it appears that (S) Eric Rowe is unlikely to play this week. Rowe is dealing with a hamstring issue. He did not give any status reports on (RB) Jeff Wilson or (OT) Terron Armstead. Though it was reported that Armstead feels that he will be able to play.

(S) Elijah Campbell according to reports is in concussion protocol. McDaniel said the chances of (OL) Liam Eichenberg being activated is “50/50” this week.
