Fanduel week 8 dolphins thirsty

Fanduel Week 8

Fanduel Week 8 is Here!

It wasn’t exactly the offensive outbreak that we expected to see from Miami last week against the Steelers. This week though the Dolphins have an even better matchup against the Detroit Lions, who many people believe is one of the worst defenses in the league. It could be one of the best weeks to fire up Dolphins players in Fanduel week 8 contests. Although, a lot of people could be thinking the same thing this week.

Quarterbacks

One of the most popular and best plays on the entire main slate for Sunday could be Tua Tagovailoa. After having one massive fantasy game this year where he put up the highest score from a quarterback we have seen yet, Tua could be in line for another big game. The Lions defense has been giving up a ton of points and yards to opposing offenses. If Miami is going to have a breakout game to get out of this recent slump, this would be the game. Tua is priced like one of the best fantasy plays on the slate. He is the fourth highest-priced quarterback.

The Colts made the decision to move on already from their big offseason acquisition, Matt Ryan. After a few good games and more bad, they replaced him with Sam Ehlinger. Ehlinger was a sixth-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft and has yet to throw a pass in an NFL game. On Fanduel he is priced at just $6,000. This could gain him high ownership at that price but he also has a high upside as a running quarterback. He ran a lot in college and was even used last year with the Colts in running situations occasionally.

Running Backs

Raheem Mostert continues to be a great Fanduel option at running back. He has now gone four games in a row getting 14 carries or more. He was one of the lone bright spots on the offense last week as well with 109 total yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. The Detroit defense is bad, but their rushing defense in particular is even worse. They rank as the 32nd defense against the run this year, or last in the league. Fanduel hasn’t seemed to catch up with his price though. Mostert comes in at just $6,800, below some other running backs like Damien Harris and Ezekiel Elliot.

Chase Edmonds has been used as a change of pace back recently and doesn’t have much fantasy value. In this game, it is expected that the Dolphins are ahead and not in a situation where they need Edmonds as a pass catcher that much, which doesn’t bode well for his fantasy value.

Josh Jacobs has been putting up ridiculous stats recently. On Fanduel is the third-highest price running back, and for good reason. In the past three games he has played in he has had at least 143 yards rushing in each of them. He has also been active in the passing game with 13 catches over those three games. We haven’t mentioned the six touchdowns in those games either. Jacobs will get another good matchup against the Saints and it is expected that he continues to get a ton of carries as he racks up more yards and touchdowns this week.

Wide Receivers for Fanduel Week 8

We haven’t seen big games from both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in a while. This week could change that. If the Dolphins are committed to breaking out of this slump and scoring as many points as they possibly can, Hill and Waddle should eat up targets and both dominate this slate. Hill is the third-highest-priced wide receiver and Waddle comes in at the seventh-highest. They make for an expensive trio to play together with Tua, but it could pay huge dividends in the end.

As far as the third wide receiver in this Miami offense, we still don’t know who that is. A lot of people thought it would be Cedrick Wilson, but he has been extremely underwhelming. If you are looking for a deep sleeper then Wilson could break out in this juicy matchup.

Seattle has looked much better than advertised. They also have a tough matchup against the Giants where they could be throwing a lot. With DK Metcalf banged up and possibly not playing, it could be the Tyler Lockett show. Fire him up regardless of if Metcalf is playing or not as he could still be limited and a ton of targets may go Lockett’s way on Sunday.

Tight Ends

Mike Gesicki has been getting more involved in the offense. After a huge game two weeks ago he calmed down a lot to have just three catches for 27 yards last week. This week he will have a chance at another big game and could be a good Dolphins pivot away from Hill or Waddle for Fanduel week 8.

For Fanduel owners looking to play into a potentially high-scoring game in the Dolphins and Lions game, look to play TJ Hockenson. He has proven to be one of the best fantasy tight ends this year and is a great option in Detroit.

Defense

Miami’s defense hasn’t been great this year so far. They do have a great matchup though but many people expect this to be a high-scoring affair. They make for a good mid-priced defense on Fanduel with some upside.

A good cheap defense on Fanduel to target is the Washington Commanders. The Commanders play the Colts who haven’t been very dynamic offensively all year. They now play against a team led by a quarterback who hasn’t made a pass in the NFL yet. We hope you have a great result in your Fanduel week 8 action!
