Fins Notes July 28th, 2023

The Miami Dolphins had their third training camp practice today (07/28/2023). Yesterday, Jalen Ramsey was injured which was a big blow to the defensive backfield depth. Ramsey was the big-name new addition to the 2023 Dolphins.

Notes on the Fins Day 3

The Dolphins will not have a practice tomorrow but will return on Sunday to practice in front of fans for the first time this training camp. The practice is set to start at 10:45 Am.

During today’s practice, the defense dominated the offense. It is being reported by local media in attendance today that the offensive line had a very difficult session. The defense recorded 12 sacks today led by Christian Wilkins who had 4 of them. Wilkins was vocal about his success during practice.

While speaking to the media, Bradley Chubb advised that he feels right at home in Vic Fangio’s defense. He advised that 90-95% of defensive principals carry over from his playing under Fangio while both were with the Denver Broncos.

On the Jets Menu?

Dalvin Cook rumors to the Dolphins have been sizzling on the gossip grill for months. But, it appears that the New York Jets might land the star running back. It has nothing to do with Cook not wanting to play for the Dolphins. It seems that Miami has not met his contract expectations. Cook says it is likely that he will get a deal done with the Jets.

Cook as recently as this morning still talked about his desire to play in Miami in front of family and friends. He told Good Morning Football this morning:

“I’m still weighing my options. This thing is not over. playing for my hometown would mean so much for me, my community, and my family, it’s a Cinderella story.”
