Joe Kasper hired by the Miami Dolphins

Joe Kasper Hired by the Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have hired Joe Kasper as the new safeties coach per reports. I first saw the news from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Joe Kasper Notes

Kasper served as the defensive quality coach with the Philadelphia Eagles for the past two seasons. Prior to the Eagles job, Kasper had been at Duke University. At Duke, he coached quarterbacks in 2020 and defensive backs in 2018 and 2019 as a graduate assistant.

Kaper was with the Cleveland Browns in 2013 and 2014 as a player personnel and development assistant. His tenure in Cleveland overlapped one season with Mike McDaniel when McDaniel was the Browns’ WR coach in 2014. Now, he will work under Vic Fangio in Miami. Fangio had a role as a consultant for the Eagles last season so Fangio must have liked what he saw in Joe Kasper’s work. Kasper played safety in college for Baldwin Wallace in Berea, Ohio.

Fangio added Renaldo Hill earlier this week. Like Kasper, Hill also has experience working with Fangio. We will see if the Dolphins are finished adding to the coaching staff.
