Here are some Miami Dolphins notes from today (12/07/2022). Heach Coach Mike McDaniel had his Wednesday press conference earlier today.

Miami Dolphins Notes

The Miami Dolphins are staying out west as you all know. Miami will spend their practice sessions at UCLA as they get set to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. The Dolphins and Chargers were originally scheduled as an afternoon game. However, due to it being an attractive matchup it was moved to the nationally televised Sunday Night Football spot on NBC. It is the Miami Dolphins versus Los Chargers of course. But, it will be fun to see the Tua Tagovailoa vs Justin Herbert debates in social media circles this week. Speaking of Tua, check out his Pro Bowl vote status down below!

Sunday Night Football

McDaniel said that recently signed Eric Fisher is currently with the team. But, the coach advised that Fisher has not even been through a walk-through session at this point. He said that Fisher is fired up to be with the team. It is unknown when Fisher will be “football ready.” The coach mentioned that Tyreek Hill and Fisher have a special bond together since they won a championship together.

The coach said that there will be a focus on having a more balanced offensive attack this week. McDaniel said even if they do not run the ball on some plays, they need to get the running backs more involved during a game. He mentioned that the Dolphins running backs are good at catching the ball. The coach said it falls on him to get them more involved.

More OL Notes

The Miami Dolphins signed Terron Armstead during the offseason to improve the much-maligned offensive line. Armstead has done just that when he is healthy. He missed the San Francisco 49ers game with a pec injury that he sustained against the Houston Texans.

The coach advised that Armstead would not practice with the team today. However, he said there is a chance that Armstead will be ready to play on Sunday night.

Liam Eichenberg is also back with the team. The 21-day window is now open on his return. McDaniel told the media that Eichenberg would be limited in Wednesday’s practice. Eichenberg injured his knee in the game against the Detroit Lions on November 30, 2022.

The coach stated about Eichenberg, “I’m excited for him because he was playing his best football when he got injured.”

Tua’s has gotten the attention of voters! It is good to see Tua get some positive attention, he has been the target of a lot of criticism over the past couple of seasons. I’m happy to see that his good season has not gone unnoticed.
