Off the Chain for Devon Achane
I have an off-the-chain excitement level when it comes to Devon Achane! The Miami Dolphins had speed on offense last season, Now, they just added another speedster!
The Will be Off the Chain Fun for Dolphins Fans this Year with Achane!
Devon Achane should deliver what fans of the Miami Dolphins have been calling for the past few seasons. Fans have wanted a running back that could bring off the chain playmaking ability, this RB fits the bill! Last year Miami had some huge plays from their receivers in terms of “chunk yardage.” Now, they have added another fast RB to go along with Raheem Mostert.
The Dolphins ran the ball well at times in 2022 but would get away from it too often. It is understandable that Miami would get away from the running game because they had such big playmakers at receiver. It is very tempting to get the ball to Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle. Now, they have added one of the most exciting running backs coming out of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Mike McDaniel (Head coach) must be looking forward to drawing up plays for Achane. Achane brings elite explosiveness when he has the ball in his hands. His versatility is added bonus in his off-the-chain big play ability. Devon Achane is not the biggest of backs but still has some power running between the tackles. But, his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield is what is most likely to keep some defensive coordinators up at night.
Speed!
McDaniel stated it very simply when he said, “I mean, speed we generally like around here.” GM Chris Grier advised that they were already aware of Achane prior to the 2022 season when Achane had a breakout season. But added, “Then just watching him this year and getting to know him, we brought him in on a 30-visit and spent some time with him and got to know him as a person. We watched film and probably about two or three weeks ago, Mike was convicted in his love for the player. We all were but he was very effusive.”
