2023 NFL Draft: Zach Harrison, Edge, Ohio State University
Caballero says that Zach Harrison is a tall edge rusher (6’6″) out of Ohio State that will hear his name called pretty early in the 2023 NFL Draft. A former track guy that has a good burst for such a big person. He has long tree trunk-like arms according to Caballero that he uses to his advantage when keeping blockers off of him.
Harrison has a great combination of size, speed, and high football IQ. Has the look and feel of a player that will get even better in the pros. He plays with a high motor as well as plays like his hair is on fire every snap. Good tackler against the run as he squares up and wraps very well, especially for a player of his height. Harrison is a disciplined football player that is not easily fooled by ball fakes.
Caballero said, “Zach can become a dominant pass rusher in the NFL if he polishes up his pass moves.” Harrison can also drop back into coverage to stop quick curl routes. Uses his length to clog up passing lanes for the opposing QB by getting his hands up on plays he can’t get to the passer. Sets the edge well. Has eye-popping tape at times. May not be as polished as the Bosa brothers or Chase Young coming out of college but has the skill set to excel in the NFL.

Draft projection: 1st or 2nd round
Overall, Caballero feels that Harrison has the skills to be a star in the NFL. He is not as highly ranked as the Bosa brothers or Chase Young but he still has what it takes to make his mark at the pro level. Some of the best potential of anyone in the 2023 NFL Draft class.
