This 2023 NFL Draft scouting report on Dalton Kincaid is brought to you by Justin Caballero of Digging in the Trenches. More draft profiles coming soon.
2023 NFL Draft: Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah
Caballero says that Dalton Kincaid can play in-line or flex out to the Y. This versatility should make it easier for him to make it high on a lot of 2023 NFL Draft boards. This tight end out of Utah is a willing and serviceable blocker in the run game as well as a capable pass blocker. But, his strong point is as a receiving threat.
Caballero says that Kincaid is among the best route runners of this year’s draft class at the tight end position. High foot IQ that is also very disciplined so gets to where he needs to be on the field. Caballero stated, “Dalton has a very good understanding of the tight end position.” Can get open underneath at well as get behind the linebacker in coverage.
Once Kincaide has the ball thrown his way, he has the skill set that makes him thrive. Very soft hands with the ability to high-point a 50/50 ball thrown in his area. Once he has the ball, he is good at getting additional yardage since he can break tackles. Regardless of position Dalton Kincaid is one of Caballero’s favorite prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft.
