According to reports, the Miami Dolphins have hired Vic Fangio as their new defensive coordinator. Not confirmed as of this post.

Fangio has been Hired by the Miami Dolphins

The #Dolphins have agreed to terms with Vic Fangio on a deal that makes him the NFL’s highest-paid coordinator, per sources.

Fangio was the most experienced coach in the defensive coordinator (DC) market. The Dolphins landed the catch that most Miami fans were fishing for once Josh Boyer was a catch and release. As recently as yesterday, it was looking like the Dolphins may lose Fangio to the Carolina Panthers.

Today, the good news broke that Fangio had been hired by the Dolphins. Twitter erupted among Dolfans. Fangio has an impressive coaching resume outside of his head coaching stint in Denver. The defensive units coached by Fangio over the years have played well. According to Tom Pelissero, it is a three-year deal with a team option for a fourth. It will make Fangio the highest DC in the NFL.
