2023 NFL Draft: Myles Brooks, CB, La. Tech

Myles Brooks, 2023 NFL Draft, Louisiana Tech

Grading scale: 1 Poor 10 Elite COD: Change of direction

Caballero likes what he sees of cornerback Myles Brooks from the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. At 6-1, Brooks plays with great length with his long arms. A physical player that will square up to pop the opposing player.

Brooks is a fast player that can play the ball well, he is able to defend the pass by knocking it down or even making an interception. Can high point the ball against smaller receivers. “You’re flirting with danger if you throw in Myles’ area!”, said Caballero.  Took an interception 44 yards to the house against Texas-El Paso this past season.

Brooks is strong in coverage and runs laterally as well as he does downhill. His change of direction is excellent with silky smooth flipping of the hips. Seems to be a student of the game with a high football IQ. Reads and diagnoses the play quickly helping him to react to make plays on the ball. “Myles” does lack the big-time college football experience that others have but is an improving player. Only played one season at Louisiana Tech. Underrated prospect for the 2023 NFL Draft.
