Miami Dolphins Potential Picks

The Miami Dolphins did not have any first-round picks heading into the 2023 NFL Draft. They did not move up to trade into it. Here are some potential picks for the remainder of the draft. As currently set the Fins have have 4 picks with 1 each in the 2nd (51), 3rd (84), 6th (197), and 7th (238) rounds. Of course, they may move around with trades down or up the draft board. Some of the names mentioned will be gone by the time Pick 51 comes up. Some will be later round picks or even hit the UDFA market.

Offensive Lineman: Potential Picks

The Miami Dolphins have had a battle in trying to build a quality offensive line. They have tried but due to injuries or missing on NFL Draft picks this has not been accomplished.

Matthew Bergeron~Syracuse (OT/G)

Dewand Jones~Ohio State (OT)

John Michael Schmitz~Minnesota (C/G)

Steve Avila~TCU (G)

Cody Mauch~NDSU (G)

Joe Tippmann~Wisconsin (C)

O’Cyrus Torrence~Florida (G)

Andrew Vorees~USC (G)

Blake Freeland~BYU (OT)

Tight Ends

Only one tight end (Dalton Kincaid) was drafted in the first round. Could a pick of value fall to the Dolphins at pick 51? It does fill a need. Washington falling to Miami would be a great chance for Miami to land a quality TE.

Darnell Washington~Georgia

Sam Laporta~Iowa

Tucker Kraft~SDSU

Brenton Strange~Penn State

Michael Mayer~Notre Dame

Luke Schoonmaker~Michigan

Running Backs

The Dolphins brought back all of their running backs from last season. They are also rumored to be interested in some veteran backs that might be on the market. Yet, there may be some potential picks among this group if the value falls right. With Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs coming off the board in round 1, the Dolphins might find better value later on than getting one at 51.

Israel Abanikanda~Pitt

Zach Charbonnet~UCLA

Tyjae Spears~Tulane

Chase Brown~Ilinois

Devon Achane~Texas A&M

Sean Tucker~Syracuse

Mohamed Ibrahim~Minnesota

Xavien Valladay~ASU

Potential Picks if the Dolphins go Defense

On paper, it seems like the Dolphins have a solid defense with the potential to be special. Yet, you never since Vic Fangio may have some say could Miami make some picks for the defense earlier than expected?

Sydney Brown~Illnois (S)

Tyrique Stevenson~UM (CB)

Siaki Ika~Baylor (DT)

DeMarvion Overshown~Texas (LB)

Trenton Simpson~Clemsom (LB)
